The Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy invited Dr. James Kraska (Professor, US Naval War College) to talk about Undersea Cables and International Law. This virtual event addressed some of the most recent incidents involving the cutting of undersea cables in the Baltics and near Taiwan and explored those aspects of international (maritime) law that are applicable during wartime and peacetime. The presentation was followed by an indepth discussion on what needs to be done to better maintain undersea cable security.
