On 3 April 2025, Sandra Meerwein (Obama Institute, University of Mainz) visited the Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy. She gave a short presentation on the topic of “Ocean Governance and Environmental Security“ and discussed how socio-cultural understandings of human-environment relations translate into legal structures and policies of ocean governance. This event was joined by KIMS President Vice Admiral (retired) WON Tae Ho, Dr. CHUNG Sam Man (Director of Center for Maritime Security), Dr. KANG Seung Mo (Research Fellow) and Mr. LEE Jae Hyeok (Associate Researcher).
