About KIMS
History and Purpose
- KIMS Founding Purpose
KIMS is a non-profit-oriented research institution designed to promote various research and research related activities with the ultimate aim of creating policy-relevant foundations useful for Korea’s national security and maritime strategy.
Toward that end:
- KIMS pursues research activities designed to stress the importance of the sea and to propose policies and strategies relevant to national security and maritime
security and - KIMS endeavors to promote international friendship and peace through joint research projects and the exchange of information on such subjects as the law of the sea, maritime strategy, international security, maritime history and maritime economy.

- 02.02 : Signed agreement with ROK National Assembly Library on mutual cooperation

- 11 : Conducted 100th KIMS Morning Forum
