On September 15, 2026, the Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy hosted a roundtable discussion with the delegation of Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung) Philippines. Led by Ms. Daniela Braun, Countr Director of KAS Philippines, the delegation is composed of eleven experts with different nationalities witin the Indo-Pacific. And on the KIMS side, VADM Taeho Won (President), Dr. Samman Chung (Director of Center for Maritime Security), Dr. Seung Mo Kang (Research Fellow), and Mr. Jae Hyeok Lee (Associate Researcher) attended the meeting. The delegation asked various questions to the KIMS, such as South Korea’s Arctic policy, regional security threats, and future maritime strategy, and KIMS continued the discussion by responding and sharing each other’s thoughts. The two parties concluded the meeting with a promise to continue further exchanges.
