On December 8, 2025, the Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy (KIMS) had a meeting with Col. Ashish Gairola, Defense Attaché of the Embassy of India. VADM Taeho Won (ret.), President of the KIMS, delivered his optimistic prospect on collaborations with India, mentioning the MOU with the National Maritime Foundation (NMF) of Inda signed last month, and Col. Gairola also expressed his hopes for further academic exchange between South Korea and India. The two parties promised a constructive cooperation and agreed to improve mutual relationship.
