On March 19, Dr. Ian Bowers, Professor of the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies, visited the Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy (KIMS). As an expert of Seapower and East Asia, Dr. Bowers has researched extensively on South Korea’s naval power, and has continued exchange with the KIMS as well. VADM Taeho Won (President), Sam Man Chung (Director), Seung Mo Kang (Research Fellow), and Jae Hyeok Lee (Associate Researcher) participated in the discussion with Dr. Bowers, and shared various insights on South Korea’s maritime power and East Asian affairs. The meeting was concluded with KIMS’ commitment to continuous academic support to Dr. Bowers and his research.
