On June 30, 2025, the Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy (KIMS) arranged a meeting with Dr. David Fields, Associate Director of Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. On the KIMS side, VADM Tae-ho Won (ret.), President, welcomed Dr. Fields, along with Dr. Seung Mo Kang, research fellow, and Mr. Jae Hyeok Lee, associate researcher. At the meeting, Dr. Fields elaborated the core missions of CEAS and its ongoing research projects, and showed great interest in East Asian security, especially maritime strategy of South Korea. The two parties concluded the meeting with an agreement to extend mutual academic collaboration.
