On October 11, 2024, the Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy jointly hosted a Seminar titled “High Technology and Maritime Security” at Ungpo Hall, Korea Naval Academy. Organized by the Korea Naval Academy Maritime Institute, co-hosted by KIMS, Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials and LIG Nex1, the seminar hosted more than five-hundred Naval Academy cadets and faculty members, and around two-hundred related experts either as audience and speakers. The event was divided into two sessions, and had many in-depth presentations and discussions on maritime science and technology, as well as maritime security.
On behalf of KIMS, Dr. Myung-soo Im, professor at Ehwa Womans Univeristy Hokma College of General Education, joined the seminar as a moderator for general discussion session.
